Filter bags and cartridges are commonly used filter materials in filtration equipment, both of which have the function of filtering impurities and purifying substances. However, they differ in shape, material, structure, filtration accuracy, and applicability.
The filter bag is in a long cylindrical shape, usually a cylindrical bag with an inlet at one end and an outlet at the other end. The material is mostly woven from fibers, and different types of fibers can be selected according to different filtering purposes.
The shape of the filter cartridge is cylindrical or square, commonly used in the field of liquid filtration. Various sizes of filter cartridges can be customized according to needs, usually made of stainless steel mesh or metal mesh, and there are also filter cartridges made of fiber materials.
Filter bags are usually made of fiber materials, such as polyester, polypropylene, nylon, fiberglass, PTFE, etc. Fiber materials have characteristics such as corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and compression resistance. At the same time, the fiber materials inside the filter bag have an intertwined effect, which can form a better filtration effect.
Filter cartridges are usually made of metals such as stainless steel, copper, aluminum, titanium, and there are also filters made of plastic. Metal filter cartridges have good resistance to high temperature and corrosion, while plastic filter cartridges have characteristics such as lightweight and corrosion resistance.
The structure of a filter bag is usually composed of a bag body and a support. The bag body is wrapped by the filter material inside a bag body, and the support is used to support the skeleton of the bag body, making it less susceptible to damage in high-speed liquids.
The structure of the filter cartridge is usually made of metal mesh or plastic brackets, and the mesh size can be adjusted as needed to better control the filtration accuracy.
Difference in filtering accuracy:
The filtration accuracy of filter bags and filter cartridges also varies. Generally speaking, the filtration accuracy of filter bags can reach 1 micrometer or less, while the filtration accuracy of filter cartridges usually ranges from 5 to 100 micrometers. Different filtration accuracy can be customized according to different needs.
