Dust particle size. The size of dust particles mainly affects the pressure of the bag filter and the wear of the dust removal bag. Fine dust has a significant impact on the pressure loss of the bag filter, while coarse dust plays a decisive role in the wear of the dust removal bag.
Dust is dry or damp. It is well known that a bag filter is a dry dust removal equipment that maintains a high dust removal efficiency for handling dry dust. However, during the operation of a bag filter, wet dust is prone to solidify on the surface of the filter material or become a thick substance with water, causing difficulties in cleaning, increasing equipment resistance, and affecting the operation of the dust collector. Necessary measures need to be taken.
Static electricity. Once dust that is prone to static electricity is generated on the filter material, it is easy to adsorb onto the filter material and is not easy to fall off. Therefore, it is necessary to perform anti-static treatment on the filter material to prevent explosions caused by sparks generated by static electricity.
The chemical properties of dust. When dealing with chemical dust, it contains certain acidity and alkalinity, which can cause corrosion to the dust collector and dust bag, and shorten the service life of the equipment. This situation requires anti-corrosion treatment of the dust collector and the selection of corrosion-resistant dust removal bags, such as PPS needle punched felt, PTFE needle punched felt, and Flumex needle punched felt, all of which have the characteristics of acid and alkali corrosion resistance
Dust is flammable and explosive. For flammable dust, although it may not necessarily cause an explosion, if sparks are generated during the production process and may enter the dust collector, measures should be taken, such as installing spark arresters or explosion-proof valves.
The concentration of dust. The concentration of dust is related to the pressure and filtration area of the bag filter. The higher the concentration, the more difficult it is to clean the dust. When designing a bag filter, it is necessary to choose the bottom filter air velocity and increase the filtration area of the bag filter. In addition, high dust concentration also affects the ash discharge capacity of the ash hopper.
